The Net at Work

Networkers' Luncheon - July 6

The networkers' luncheons still seem to be a hot commodity.  We had a completely different group this time, but attendees made first time connections with people they were really happy to meet.  Our goal is to facilitate those kinds of meetings so that ministries and marketplace folks in the Denver area can know about each other, work together and spend their energies on their vision, instead of recreating the wheel.  For details on the next event (tenatively Sept 2010), check www.thedenvernet.com.

Dare to Care Teams - June 26

Colorado Community Church sent over 500 volunteers into the Denver community to clean, paint, fix and CARE!  Dare to Care teams dispatched to the Transformation Net campus completely wowed us.  One group painted the sanctuary of the Basic Faith Fellowship, another group painted the gym of Power Invasion Ministriers where the Hoopin 4 Jesus kids play basketball every Saturday.  A third group sorted and sifted through the clothing in the clothing bank, making sure that items were in good repair and that the environment would be a blessing and a reflection of God's love to those who visit.

School of Power and Love - Missions Trip to Denver (May 12-15)

You didn't have to travel far for this missions trip; didn't even need to bring a suitcase.  But you did need to learn the culture!  The speakers, Dan Mohler, Tom Ruotolo, Todd White and Bob Hazlett focused on a shift in identity.  As ambassadors from another Kingdom, we're coming to bring good news about Someone who loves the world.  Interspersed with teaching sessions were opportunities to practice hearing and speaking a word of encouragement over other attendees.  Then, taking it to the streets during lunch and dinner; looking for whoever God was highlighting for a blessing.

Colorado National Day of Prayer, May 6, 2010

Despite the controversies surrounding a "national day of prayer" this year, faithful followers of Jesus Christ turned out at the Colorado State Capitol and other locations around the metro area to pray for our country, state, and city.  This year's state capitol event was spearheaded by members of our state legislature.

Ways to get Involved

At WINN ministries we get to the point of where we could be panicking about bills, volunteers, building schedules, pick-ups and the list goes on. If we let every little thing grow in our hearts and minds, WINN would not be a functioning ministry. We would have collapsed by now.  But due to the fact that we stand in faith and in the spirit on most occasions, we have what we need. Yesterday was a great example.

I had received a call one month ago from a young lady, Alicia Rodriguez. She had let me know she was from Chipotle Corp. She was looking to send volunteers to ministries they work with, so of course I agreed and we set the date for the week of the 17th. I had no idea what I was going to do with them? But of course with a little prayer and faith, God provided tons of stuff for them to do on this day. It so happened our sister church Power Invasion was planning their Christmas dinner for the 20th. So the work was there and so we had workers.

The point that I am trying to make is that when we surrender all to our Lord, and trust in Him to handle all situations, all things will happen good. And I want to thank all those that showed up and put their day out for our Ministry.

So if you ever wonder what true ministry is all about call us at 303-239-9123 and come give it a try. We will be more then happy to have you help.

3rd Annual Men's Carnivore Night

Have you ever had the privilege, yes privilege to kneel with a hundred men and pray?  Well I did on Monday the 29th of March.  We hosted our Fourth Annual Carnivore night with men from several ministries from around the Denver area.  What a blessed time to break bread together, pray and share time together.  Our chief cook Smoke'n Craig and his team of workers produced some real "good eatin".  There were young men 5 years to old guys 70+ and everything in-between.  As we ate and prayed together you could feel the Holy Spirit was there.  As you saw folks meeting for the first time and renewing old acquaintances you knew that all was right.  My prayer is that the spirit that prevailed invades our communities and the peace that passes all understanding come to our homes.   Thanks to all who helep and all that participated - pass it on!
